Client-led briefs
Every project begins with the client’s needs, daily rituals, taste and long-term use of the space.
Based in Hong Kong, MNStudio creates practical, sensitive and enduring environments—from early feasibility and architectural design through interiors, project management and delivery.
Murphy Ngan holds Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of Hong Kong. He is an Authorized Person under Hong Kong’s Buildings Authority, a Registered Architect and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects.
After beginning his professional career in 2000 and working across commercial, hospitality, civic, residential and mixed-use projects, he established MNStudio in 2008 to bring architecture and interior design together within one coordinated studio.
His approach combines careful planning with colour, texture, lighting and custom furniture, creating spaces that feel considered yet natural to the people who live and work in them.
Every project begins with the client’s needs, daily rituals, taste and long-term use of the space.
Architecture, interiors, lighting, colour and custom elements are developed as one connected system.
Design decisions are tested against buildability, budget, programme, coordination and maintenance.
Materials and details are selected for character, durability and a calm visual life beyond short-term trends.
